The CBI followed ED and arrested top SSC officials under a job scam

The Enforcement Directorate has carried out search operations under the PMLA at 21 premises in Chhattisgarh. Along with this, property in Jharkhand is also under investigation. As it is suspected of the smuggling of foreign-origin gold and other precious metals through numerous channels from Bangladesh.

During the search operation, they found unaccounted gold bullion weighing 3,825 grams along with gold ornaments weighing 12,810 grams, silver of 671 kg, and cash of Rs 1.41 crore. The documents pertaining to the sale and purchase of gold and silver have been recovered and seized. All these statements have come from the and the search took around three days as they had to check out the 22 places.

DRI recovered all the gold that was of foreign origin from his possession as it was brought into India from Bangladesh by a smuggling channel. And then it is transported to Raipur from Kolkata. Vijay Kumar Baid, alias Vicky, and others are the consumers of the gold in Raipur. During the inquiry, it was found that large-scale smuggling is operating in Chattisgarh and its nearby states.
